Performers/Events

  • Atsumi Tanaka Traditional Tea Ceremony

Tanaka brings together the yin and yang of Japanese culture — from the traditional tea ceremony that steadfastly preserves its values, to modern kimono fashion that celebrates those who wear it.

Through the art of the tea ceremony, Tanaka seeks to embody the spirit of cha-no-yu as a living legacy of Japan’s ancient heritage — a reflection of its enduring influence on contemporary culture and etiquette, and of the beauty found in tranquility and minimal precision that draws one into the mind of Zen.
She practices Omotesenke, one of Japan’s most prestigious schools of tea ceremony, and shares this tradition at international gatherings and among global business leaders as a gesture of cultural friendship and refined social grace.

To represent Japan’s transformative spirit — one that evolves with the people rather than confining them — Tanaka reimagines vintage kimono into modern, wearable art as “KINUEN”. Her designs celebrate the strength and elegance of women around the world, bridging tradition and modernity through the beauty of Japanese craftsmanship.
